Mr. Gillis chaired the statewide legislative subcommittee for the California Building Industry Association ("CBIA") that was instrumental in the development and adoption of Section 1375 of the California Civil Code.
Mr. Gillis' practice emphasizes real estate law, especially in the areas of land use, entitlement and development of real property, including residential and commercial common interest developments, and the creation and operation of property owners associations.
Mr. Gillis has been a speaker at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars on legal aspects of real estate in California.
