EBMC begins management of Marvel Way Apartments in Reno, NV

On February 1, 2025, EBMC will begin the management of Marvel Way Apartments, LP, 1555 Marvel Way, Reno, NV 89502.  Marvel Way is a long-term sober living community developed by Community Development Partners. Marvel Way Apartments, LP, opened its doors in November 2022 and is the first in Nevada.  There are 42 affordable sober living apartments at Marvel Way, which provide a safe, supportive, and clean environment for its residents. These 1 and 2-bedroom units are permanent homes for individuals and their families who have recently completed substance abuse disorder treatment programs or exited the penal system. Apartments are designed for residents ready to live independently but could still benefit from a supportive environment.


Marvel Way bridges the gap between treatment center support and independent living. There are amenities and services for all who feel they to those who would benefit from them

Services include:

  • Weekly AA, NA, and AA Book Study Meetings

  • Free on-site psychiatric support from the Empowerment Center psychiatrist, mental health providers, and alcohol and drug counselors.

  • Transportation to grocery stores and medical appointments via Marvel Way's van.

  • Parental Services: assistance in arranging for childcare, parenting classes, and donated children's clothing.

  • Pet Services, including vaccinations, in partnership with SPCA.

  • Donations are delivered on-site, including monthly visits from the mobile food bank.

  • Assistance with furnishings and clothing

  • Assistance navigating enrollment in government and nonprofit services and financial support programs.

    Marvel Way Apartments II, LP (Phase II) will open in April 2025 with 46 units.  This phase will include an on-site medical clinic that the Empowerment Center provides, offering medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Additionally, there will be outpatient services for all Empowerment Center graduates.
